Redundancy & Unfair Dismissal

A large part of the firm’s work is advising on the Law of Unfair Dismissal as it relates to a Redundancy situation, and on the Law of Unfair Dismissal generally.

It also involves advising employees on whether they have been Unfairly Dismissed in Law, the compensation that is available as a result and advising in addition on any ancillary claim for wrongful dismissal/breach of contract.

This also involves advising employers on how to properly conduct a redundancy or a whole programme whilst avoiding any Unfair Dismissal claims in terms of how to deal with staff, and particularly with a view to whether there is a genuine redundancy situation, alternative positions, proper selection criteria and consultation.

The firm will pursue any such claims in the Employment Tribunal on behalf of employees or defend employers against any such claims.
